At Community Extension Programs, we work directly with local K-12 schools to provide small grants that enable schoolteachers and administrators to identify and address the needs of their students whose families deal with financial insecurity and instability. These small grants are intended to help schools to make purchases that provide dignity and equity to underprivlidged students. For example, the grants might help with purchases such as a used washer and dryer for a school to clean and distribute donated clothing for students in need. Another local school might want a supply of back to school resources such as backpacks, crayons, folders, socks and lunchboxes for students without access to these necessary items. If you are interested in donating to the CEP Sunny Day Fund or if you are local K-12 teacher or administrator wishing to apply for a small grant, please contact us at 520-965-8298, 7632 N. La Cholla Boulevard, Tucson, Arizona, 85741.
